I'd spent 3 weeks before my appt crying, stressed and utterly petrified also confused and not understanding why I was dx with a skin disease @ my primary care office with no explanation, just a comment that it wasn't a death sentence, some printed out information and a "I'm sorry". I tried to explain to him that my problems started once I took the antibiotics he gave me. But he wouldn't listen to me, shut me down. He also told me not to see a dermatologist, when I asked why? His repose was "we can lance them here" which then I freaked out and said "Lance what?!?!" He said sorry and left. I was a mess. so my husband insited that I make a dermatologist appointment, so I did. I was a mess. I was crying and scared. Three weeks of stress and not feeling well from the antibiotics, when my appointment came i broke down in the waiting room. I can not say enough how kind the front desk woman were to me. How kind all the staff was. They were so sweet and caring. They let my husband come in the room with me. When dr. Malia Sering came in, she LISTENED to me. I can not express how much that meant to me. She LISTENED. she was reassuring and caring. I'm happy I went to her. She wasn't comforting with diagnosing me with the skin disease and explained why and what it would look like. She gave me some advice and god, I'm so thankful I saw her. She is a blessing. I wish all doctors were like her.
